http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/07/grimm-season-3-spoilers-from-comic-con-2013.html

"Grimm" returned to Comic-Con and faced fan questions about the fate of leading man Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), who appeared to perish in the Season 2 finale.

"He's definitely going to the darkside," showrunner David Greenwalt revealed. "And he may get another face of green spit before it's over."

While Season 3 is only in the very early stages of production, Giuntoli said he's enjoying the changes dying has brought about in Nick. "It's very nice to get to be angry," he said. "There's gonna be a lot of fighting in this first episode [back]."

"I've read three scripts of this new season," Giuntoli revealed. "I'm only a couple episodes ahead of everybody else."

Even the showrunners don't know much more than that at this point. "We know a little bit more than David about where we're going but we're about two weeks ahead of the cast," Greenwalt revealed.

"I really think it's nice to know what's on the horizon but the fun of it is the difficulty getting there," co-star Silas Weir Mitchell (Monroe) revealed. But he did discover that his character is headed down the aisle at some point with love interest Rosalee (Bree Turner) -- by reading it on TVGuide.com. "I look forward to the obstacles on route to what is hopefully a felicitous nuptial," Mitchell said.

"I think it's great fun. I like the slow reveal," co-star Sasha Roiz said about playing fan favorite mystery man Captain Renard. "I like keeping the audience guessing, I like keeping myself guessing. I look forward to all the various machinations he has in store."

"I am in Season 3 campaigning for a first name and a second costume," co-star Reggie Lee (Sgt. Wu) joked and made the crowd go wild.

The panel included a look at the opening scene from the Season 3 premiere in which Monroe and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) attempt to escape the zombie horde that descended on them in the finale.

As for one of the show's biggest ongoing mysteries -- what's up with the key? -- Greenwalt warned the crowd they better not hope for answers any time soon. "As soon as we figure it out, [the keys] will be fully explained," Greenwalt joked. "You might see a second key this season. Eventually it will lead to something really big and unbelievable."

'Grimm': Nick Becomes 'The Ungrateful Dead'
The season 2 finale of Grimm ended with a huge cliffhanger when it turned its main character into a zombie. The cast and producers assembled at Comic-Con but were tight-lipped about the dead/undead Nick.
With his best poker face, Giuntoli would not reveal -- let alone discuss -- whether Nick is dead or alive. But the first episode is titled "The Ungrateful Dead" so that's a bit of a clue.
- Lee auditioned for Hank, but that role ultimately went to Hornsby. However, the producers liked Lee so much that they created Wu just for him. His character will suffer "greatly" this season.
- The cast loves shooting in Portland. It makes it easier when the city has embraced the show.
- Thanks to storylines that take place in Europe, the show's fanbase has grown in that continent.
- The "wedding" ring that Renard wears is a royal ring. He'll also be taking his shirt off this season.
- New characters for next season include mermaids, gators in the sewer and faith healers.
- The reveal of the second key will "lead to something unbelievable."
- Greenwalt and Kouf, the creators, told the story of how they pitched the show to the network. They said there were hundreds of Grimm fairytales to tell, when in reality only 10 or so are well-known and could be translated onto a television show.
- Among the cast, the following languages can be spoken: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Tagalong and some Swedish. Renard will speak Russian on the show.
Grimm returns in the fall on Oct. 25 at 9pm on NBC

Comic-Con: ‘Grimm’ hints about Season 3. But will Renard be shirtless?
Saison 3 de Grimm: les pronostics! (spoilers, évidemment!) - Page 2 93506210
“Grimm,” the other fairy tale show that’s growing fans by the legion, made its way down from Portland, Ore., to San Diego for its full-cast Comic-Con International panel on Saturday and brought along the immortal Dracula just to top it off.

Producers David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf, Norberto Barba and Todd Milliner and cast members Claire Coffee, Reggie Lee, Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz, Russell Horsnby, Bree Turner, Silas Weir Mitchell and David Giuntoli seemed a little overwhelmed by the attention they got in San Diego — dozens of fans had to be turned away from the panel — but grateful for it.

Giuntoli got the discussion rolling, hinting that his “Grimm” character Nick Burkhardt will become angrier (which at least means Nick will survive last season’s cliffhanger). “Yeah. It’s very nice to get angry. And there’s going to be a lot of fighting in this first episode.”

FULL COVERAGE: San Diego Comic-Con 2013

Each actor provided a character update, though moderator Lester Holt of “Dateline NBC” got to the heart of a recent matter plaguing “Grimm” fans: Will Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) be taking off his shirt again this season? “It could happen,” said Roiz, to the delight of many in the crowd.

Reggie Lee also had a clothing issue on the show. Lee, who plays Sgt. Woo, says that he has two missions for this season: “I am campaigning for a first name and a second costume!” The crowd applauded in support of Lee, whose character usually wears a police uniform, and it was later discussed that maybe he could be shirtless in a few episodes to help with the “second costume” option.

When asked who on the cast could actually be a Wesen (pronounced “vesen”), most looked toward Silas Weir Mitchell. The man who had just expounded on both the rainfall totals in Portland and the process of cold brewing coffee also provided one of the most poignant moments of the panel when a young girl asked for advice on acting.

Mitchell, who is himself a student of acting and many other pursuits, told her to act for the sake of acting and that the fame, money and sometimes even the roles are not as important as just getting out there and practicing the craft. The girl and the crowd roared in approval.

Other questions centered on Roiz’s character’s marital status (“It’s a royal ring, not a marriage band”), and everyone’s favorite Wesen to battle, befriend or just see. The cast probably has been asked that question hundreds of times, and though they didn’t have a ready answer, producer David Greenwalt got technical.

“I like the glowing blue one and the fly. And Volcanis, though he wasn’t really Wesen — he was a whole ‘nother something.”

Continuing the Wesen theme, a young fan went up to the mic and asked if the producers could make a unicorn Wesen. The panel seemed to like the idea, and Mitchell asked the child what he should call it. The response? A very loud “I don’t know.”

Ending the panel session, producers released a couple of season 3 tidbits:

There will be new Wesen. “Gators in the sewer, sexy scary mermaids, but no Sharknado,” said Greenwalt.

There’s a new character coming that will have “their own Grimm situation.” This came in response to a question about the possibility of there being other Grimms in the world.

As the panel ended, Holt played a message from an in-character Jonathan Rhys Myers to introduce an extended clip/trailer for NBC’s new show “Dracula,” which will air on Friday nights with “Grimm” and “Dateline.”

PORTLAND – Producers for the NBC hit series “Grimm” are casting extras and featured background actors for the show’s third season.
A casting call will be held on Sunday July 21, between noon and 6 p.m., at the Lloyd Center Doubletree hotel’s Willamette Room.
Extras earn minimum wage and are guaranteed at least 8 hours of pay plus overtime. Featured extras make $150.
The company in charge of casting said it is looking for hundreds of people of all types and looks. Extras must be 18 and older.

'Grimm' call for extras in Portland draws big crowd of werewolf wanna-bes

A horde of aspiring werewolves, trolls and fire-breathing dragons lined up outside the Lloyd District DoubleTree hotel on Sunday, hoping for a brush with fame.
The crowd, more than 500 in all, gathered for an open casting call to be extras on "Grimm," the set-in-Portland, supernatural procedural that will air its third season on NBC this fall. Some were aspiring actors. Others just looking for work. Some were fans of the show. Others hadn't seen an episode.
Just in front of the hotel doors, Audie Collins, 60, said he arrived about 7:30 a.m. to be first in line. Collins said he was just looking for work. A little ways down the line, Portlander Ken Body, his long black hair falling around a pair of mirrored shades, said he'd seen only one episode of "Grimm," but he "liked the whole demon thing going on."
Around the corner on Northeast Multnomah Street, Conan Harmon-Walker stood in the shade in a long black duster and explained why he was spending the bulk of his Sunday waiting in line.
Saison 3 de Grimm: les pronostics! (spoilers, évidemment!) - Page 2 Extras10
"My friend Anthony posted a link about the casting call," Harmon-Walker said. "As a fan, I'll do anything to support the show."
Harmon-Walker said he follows several supernaturally inclined shows, but "Grimm" might be his favorite.
"They have a very sophisticated and intelligent plotline, engaging characters and Portland is beautiful," he said. "What's not to like?"
Further back, Jordan Davis, in a skinny tie and plastic sunglasses, said he tried out unsuccessfully for an extra job on the Gus Van Sant film "Last Days." He had more success with IFC's "Portlandia," nabbing an extra role as "background dancer." He did a little jig.
Davis' friend Becca Therkelsen says acting could be fun, but her passion is costume design. Still, if she's chosen, she said she'd love to be "a zombie or something with a lot of makeup."
That's unlikely, says Eddie Harris, an aspiring musician. Even those picked Sunday are unlikely to be cast as Wesen, the mythological creatures hunted by fictional Portland Police Bureau detective Nick Burkhardt.
"I've been an extra in a few of these before, (including) "Leverage," Harris says, referring to the recently canceled TNT drama. "There's a lot of waiting and sitting."

6 'Grimm' Revelations From Comic-Con: 'Nick Is Definitely Going to the Dark Side'

Saturday's Comic-Con panel for "Grimm" opened with the last few moments of the season finale — Nick splattered with Baron's green slime and Rosalee, Monroe, and Juliette on the run from zombies. Then a rough cut of a scene shot just a few days ago was screened. In it, the trio manages to shake off the zombies, crash a car, and ultimately able to head for higher (though not necessarily safer) ground.

It looks like the producers (executive producers Todd Milliner, Norberto Barba, Jim Kouf, and David Greenwalt, who joined cast members Claire Coffee, Reggie Lee, Sasha Roiz, Russell Hornsby, Bree Turner, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bitsie Tulloch, and David Giuntoli) are already making good on their promise to bring a lot more action to the third season of "Grimm."

Good Cops Gone Bad

"Nick is definitely going to the dark side," said Greenwalt. And Kouf teased, "He might get another face full of green spit before this is all over." Giuntoli is excited: "It's very nice to get to be angry." And even though he's seen only the first few scripts, Giuntoli assured the audience, "It's going to be very fun. There's going to be a lot of fighting in the first episode."

Where Are Rosalee and Monroe Going?

Said Mitchell, "I know what Jim [Kouf] and David [Greenwalt] told TV Guide, and I got it from Bree who got it from TV Guide." Turner chimed in, "I emailed with the subject line, 'WE'RE GETTING MARRIED????'"

She went on, "It's almost freeing in some sense to know the endgame, in some sense, without knowing exactly how we get there."

What Is Sgt. Woo's First Name?

"Cindy Lou Woo!" insists Tulloch, though the producers refuse to confirm that. Lee himself was equally forceful. "I am campaigning in Season 3 for a first name and a second costume.

Though Roiz generated the most decidedly female screams — his shirtlessness was brought up multiple times, forcing the sheepish admission, "A lot of people have seen my nipples at this point" — it was Lee's character who generated the biggest crowd response, especially when it was revealed that the next season wouldn't be kind to him. Said Kouf, "He's going to suffer greatly and then possibly recover; we're not sure yet."

Multilingualism Abounds

Tulloch asked and responded to a question in Spanish. The rest of the cast was asked if they knew any other languages. Lee speaks Tagalog and "a bit of Mandarin and a bit of Cantonese." Roiz grew up in Montreal, so he speaks French and also Russian: "I think we're going to utilize that [Russian] very soon." (Soviet Wesen?!) Also, Tulloch knows "how to say 'I'm cold, warm me' in Swedish," prompting the moderator to reply, "I'd be happy to."

Tips for Aspiring Actors

Everybody had words of encouragement for the audience member asking the question, but it was Mitchell who had the best answer. "There was a big turning point for me when I realized you have to enjoy it for its own sake; you have to find joy in the act itself." You won't make it if you do it for money or fame, he contends. "If you're doing it grasping for some other thing, then you're going to run into walls and the walls won't be worth it."

What Do the Keys Unlock?

An audience member, knowing the producers' penchant for secrecy, tried to ask the broadest possible question: Do the keys go to an ultimate weapon, immortality, or something that could upset the balance of humans and Wesen? Milliner's forthcoming response? "The legend is it could be any or all of the above."

David Giuntoli parle de la relation Nick/Juliette dans la saison 3
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s180/grimm/news/a501501/grimm-david-giuntoli-on-zombie-nick-juliette-romance.html

'Grimm' David Giuntoli on zombie Nick, Juliette romance
"Nick is now a zombie," he said. "His Grimm powers can be used for evil... So season three picks up right where season two ended - quite literally, right where it ended.

"And I'm not in much of the first episode. I have actually not yet gone back to work, whereas everybody else has filmed a full week. They're all looking for me and/or dealing with me. So I do eventually wake up - I can't say where, what country, or anything like that. But I start wreaking absolute havoc wherever I land."

Giuntoli admitted that he is looking forward to the new take on his character, saying: "It's kind of cool, because I play this cop, this detective, but it's almost as if I'm doing a guest star on another show right now as 'Zombie Guy'. It's fun - you get to do different things here. It's really neat."

Giuntoli also opened up about Nick's relationship with Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), confirming that the pair "are looking to be back together".

"But I'm sure they're going to throw a major problem in there," he added. "Nick and Juliette just need some quiet alone time together, where they can lock eyes, hang out, order food, watch Lifetime."

He went on to suggest that Nick will be pleased about Juliette's request to become more involved, saying: "He's protective of her and he knows all the bad that goes on around him because of this. But at this point, even when she was in the dark, terrible things were happening to her, so I think that it's better the way it is. I think he's relieved; I think he wants to ease her into this. But all of his people are there now, so it's good."

Grimm returns with its third season on NBC on October 25.

Dans la saison 3 de Grimm, pour sauver Nick, les personnages devront se faire confiance.
Auront-ils raison de faire confiance au Capitaine Renard?

Grimm star Sasha Roiz has claimed that the characters will be forced to trust each other in the new season.

Speaking to reporters at Comic-Con, Roiz explained that the Captain will be one of several characters trying to track down kidnapped Nick (David Giuntoli).
"We're definitely all hands on deck," he said. "We're just trying to save the Grimm at this point. So that really is where we pick up and that is the objective for the beginning of our season - save the Grimm!"

Despite the Captain's previous tensions with the other characters, Roiz suggested that they are "forced into this circumstance where they have to trust each other".

"In some ways, that's what makes it such a lovely chemistry," he said. "Just these people coming together and trying to do the best they can. But should they trust me? I don't know."

Roiz added that the Captain's feelings for Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) should mostly be resolved now - though he warned that there could be "residual effects that kind of carry on and linger" - and also offered some hints about the storyline regarding the paternity of Adalind's (Claire Coffee) baby.
We'll figure out whose baby it is and what we're going to do," he said. "It's going to be like a Maury Povich episode, basically. 'Maury, that is not my baby! I only slept with her one time!'"

However, Roiz - who hinted that viewers will meet "extensive members of the royal family" - joked that he can see the Captain "walking around with a Baby Bjorn in the precinct, a baby strapped on [his] chest".

"I don't know, we'll have to deal with it," he said. "I think it's going to be a very powerful negotiation tool, and I think a lot of people are going to be after it, and it will shift the sway of power, probably."

As Grimm season 2 ended, Juliette finally was "in the know" about what was really going on and Nick was zombie-fied, so what's coming up next? That's what Gather.com wanted to know when chatting with the cast in the press room at Comic-Con 2013.

Check out the video interviews with cast members Bitsie Tulloch, Bree Turner, Claire Coffee, David Giuntoli, Reggie Lee, Russell Hornsby, and Silas Weir Mitchell below to see what they had to say about what's coming up when season 3 begins. Will Sergeant Wu join the "in the know" group or continue to be oblivious to what Nick and Hank really know about some of their cases? What role will Juliette take on in season 3? What's going on with Adalind and her baby? What about Monroe and Rosalee's upcoming wedding? Whose parents may be introduced? What's going on with zombie Nick? Watch these videos for answers to those questions and more
.
